What is Pomodoro Online?
Pomodoro Online is a customizable online pomodoro timer that works on desktop & mobile browsers . The purpose of the app is to help you lock in and focus on any task, project or initiative you’re working on (coding, writing, project management, studying - you name it.) If you want to focus and track your progress you’re in the right place!
This app is inspired by Pomodoro Technique, a time management and productivity method created by Francesco Cirillo.
What is Pomodoro Technique?
Pomodoro translates to ‘tomato’ in italian. The creator of the technique, Franceso Cirillo used a kitchen timer shaped like a tomato which is where the technique gained it’s name. - Wikipedia
Pomodoros are simple. The technique leverages a timer, usually set to 25 minutes, to help break down projects down into more manageable segments. Each 25 min sprint is followed up and separated by short and long breaks.
Ideally to get the most out of each pomodoro session, the idea is to mono task. Work on one thing and do as much as you can on it until the bell rings.
How do I get the most out of Pomodoro Online?
- Select a task to work on
- Set Timer (We recommend 25min of work) for each task (The General tab above)
- Select a background (General tab above) that matches your vibe
- Select a soundscape (lower left hand of the home window 🔊) that helps you lock in
- Select an Alarm Sound (The Timer tab above)
- Start timer and focus on the task for 25 minutes
- Take a break for 5 minutes when the alarm rings
- Iterate 3-5 pomodoros until you finish the tasks
